Cayón Gallery
Brand identity and website for Galería Cayón, one of the most influential contemporary art galleries in Europe, established in Madrid in 2005, with spaces across Madrid, Menorca and Manila.
Cayón specialises in mid-century and contemporary art, focusing on spatial relations, visual perception and conceptual practices. Its programme brings together major figures such as Joan Miró, Julio González, Yves Klein, Dan Flavin, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Jesús Rafael Soto, Carl Andre and Stanley Whitney, alongside emerging and contemporary artists.
The identity is built around the idea of empty space as a stage for the artwork. Rather than competing with the work, the visual language creates a quiet and considered framework that allows each artist and exhibition to take centre stage.
A flexible system of typography, composition and negative space adapts across exhibitions, artists, publications and digital applications. The result is an identity that remains restrained and recognisable, giving the gallery the flexibility to continuously evolve alongside its programme.
